A Life Spent Looking Closely

Flora Doehler is a Nova Scotia based painter whose work finds drama in ordinary moments — the colour of a garden in late afternoon, the winds that bend the trees.

She works primarily in acrylic paints and inks, and is known for her rich, expressive use of colour. Her paintings are held in private collections across Canada, the US and Europe.
